News From The Beat Gallery

25Mar11

We are fortunate here at The Beat, when we can aquire multiple artworks by the same artist. This is the case with a lovely pair of watercolors by Vern Yadon of Carmel. Both are of quail in lovely soft colors. I’m particularly fond of quail, and they were favorites of my mother, as well.  In fairness to Mr. Yadon, please inquire as to price of these pieces, as they are on consignment. 707 462 4180. Below is a quick excert from Mr. Yadon’s biography.

Your can drop by to see these and other fine art pieces at:

The Beat Gallery, 109 W Perkins, Ukiah, CA 95466        Susan Spencer and Michael Wilson owners      Tues-Sat  11-5

A native Californian, Vern Yadon is a biologist by profession and has had a distinguished career as Director, and is now Director and Curator Emeritus of the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History. His love and intimate knowledge of natural history predominates in his work, giving rise to paintings of birds and animals that are a sensitive blend of reality and poetics.
